CBSE to Award 2 Marks for Typo in the Class 10th Board Paper
CBSE has announced that it will award 2 marks for a typing error in the Class 10th Board Paper.
The paper was held on 12 March. After many teachers and students already complaining about certain question, like the one about Helen Keller, being vague, the typing error in the Reading Section brought more distress.
The students were asked to mark the synonyms for endurance, obstruction and motivation, but the passages the words had to be selected from were incorrect.
“The typing error has been noticed and it has been Board’s policy to not let students face any disadvantage. The marking scheme has been decided in the interest of students and all those who appeared for the particular question will be awarded two marks,” a senior CBSE official said.
Students heaved a sigh of relief as this statement was released but there is still unrest over the Paper Leak Situation and the retest of the Economics Paper.
