According to a report, "The subjects will be part of a new elective -- Knowledge, traditions and practices of India -- that will combine various disciplines such as mathematics, chemistry, fine arts, agriculture, trade and commerce, astronomy, surgery, environment, life sciences and will be offered in Hindi and English."
The CBSE has introduced major changes in school curriculum, assessment format, subjects, etc. this year. CBSE dropped its academic electives and vocational subjects from the Class 12 syllabus. The Board had decided to take this decision due to fewer takers every year. The Board scrapped Open Text Based Assessment (OTBA) for Class 9 and 11 from this academic year.
