The decision of the CBSE to do away with the Board Examinations and introduce the Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation scheme for std. IX – X has met with resistance from different quarters. The principals need to understand the merits of the scheme. This would usher the desired change in Indian education system. The future generations of our students would develop a deeper learning that would enable their holistic growth. The need of an hour is to embrace the change and prepare children for the future.

Anand Kumar was fascinated by mathematics since early childhood. His dream was to become a mathematician. In 1992 he formed a mathematic club called “Ramanujam School of mathematics.” Mr.Anand Kumar has made several contributions to magazines, journals and newspapers. Though he got through to cambridge university for pursuing his higher education, financial constraints stopped him from fulfilling his dream. Having realized the need of the talented but economically weaker students he decided to train them free of cost and ensure the training would get them through to the top institutes like IIT’s.

There is a difference in the emotional and psychological needs of students who stay with their own parents and NRG students who stay with relatives / grandparents. There are areas of emotional disconnect between NRG students and their guardians leading to poor academic performance. We identified the problem, adopted a strategy to support NRG students and implemented it to improve results at K.R.Rawal English Medium School, Ranip, Ahmedabad. |

The paper addresses some modern difficulties we are dealing with,within our current education system. We need to work towards a more holistic development of the child, including SQ, EQ, IQ, etc. Optimally in a class setting where every child can be addressed in his or her own level and learning style. I propose some small classroom management change which can revolutionize and expand within our system the learning we can offer children.
