Structure Of Olympiad

 

Structure of Olympiad
The EduExcellence Olympiad is open for students of standard 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th & 11th.  For each standard there will be separate tests in which student’s creative thinking and logical reasoning abilities will be tested.
Test will be conducted in two phases.

  • Round 1 will be conducted at the school end and two top performing student of each standard from each school from round 1 will qualify for the next round of Olympiad.

  • Round 2 will be conducted at Delhi (IIT Delhi*). Apart from MCQ’s there will be a subjective question on creativity and an activity to assess the achievement motivation of the child.

Question Paper

ROUND 1

The participants have to answer 100 multiple choice questions in 100 minutes. An additional 10 minutes will be given to the participants for filling up the information on the OMR answer sheet at the beginning of exam. The question paper will have three sections:

  • Section 1
    • Logical Reasoning             (20 questions)
    • Data Interpretation         (20 questions)
    • Pattern Recognition        (20 questions)
  • Section 2
    • Math                                     (20 questions)
  • Section 3
    • English                                  (20 questions)

One mark will be allotted for each right answer and 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer. Students need to achieve the cut off score in sections 2 and 3 however scores of both these sections are not included in the final score required to qualify for the 2nd round.
Exam Timing
09:00 to 11:00 am

ROUND 2
The participants have to answer 60 multiple choice questions with one subjective question testing creativity followed by an activity on achievement motivation.

  • Section 1
    • Logical Reasoning             (20 questions)
    • Data Interpretation         (20 questions)
    • Pattern Recognition        (20 questions)
  • Section 2
    • One Subjective Question on Creativity
  • Section 3
    • One activity on Achievement Motivation

Exam Timing
Exam will start at 11:00 am
